The rasmus was one band that formed in 1994 that from Helsinki, Finland. Their original member is Lauri Ylonen, Pauli Rantasalmi, Eero Heinonen, and also Janne Heiskanen, but in 1998 Heikanen quit from The Rasmus and their position replace with Aki Hakala. Their all member was friend that still in high school and music The Rasmus have genre was Alternative Rock. Name of The Rasmus cause they have sound finnish and also this name easy to remember.

In 1995 they meet with manager and producer to record a few songs. Soon they release first EP-single that originally released late in 1995 before their signing with record label Warner Music Finland. In 1997 The Rasmus release second album – Playboys – that have mixed genre funk, ska and rock with their first producer. In 1998 release third studio album – Hell of a Tester – and also in 2002, after Heikanen out from The rasmus and replace with Aki Hakala, their signed with producer Playground Music Scandinavia. With new producer, their release new album – Into – in Finland and unbelievable, their got double platinum. Early 2003 their back to release new album in Europe – Dead Letters – and reaching the top album charts in Germay, Austria, and Switzerland. The Rasmus be success and confidence, soon they release Hide from the Sun in 2005, and in this year (2008), they has release new album – Black Roses.
