Creed formed in Tallahassee, Florida on 1995, but at this moment their name is Nakked Toddler. When Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti play together and written lyric, afterwards their added Brian Marshal as bassist and Scott Phillips was drummer, and at this moment their changed his name become Creed.

Creed worked in the bars that attracted Jeff Hanson and permitted him to playing in place that bigger. Hanson persuaded producer John Kurzwegg to produce Creed song. First album My Own Prison launched and distributed on radio station in Florida. Without deliberate, Diana Meltzer from Wind-Up Records heard Creed playing, finally he change Creed under Wind-Up labels. After remix process to be interest in heard, My Own Prison launch again with under Wind-Up labels.

Between their successes, Brian Marshall blame with Creed fans when him criticize Pearl Jam in a radio station that cause Brian must out from Creed, and Brett Hestla take position in Human Clay tour. On 2001, My Sacrifice (first song of last Creed albums) Weathered, used for video promotion that made by World Wrestling Entertainment.

On 2002, Stapp got an accident that made their tour most failed. But evidently Stapp be right on times to participate in last performance. On 2003, Creed accused use drugs so that he can’t to singing Creed songs, but this accuse success to erase and Creed back again got a problem which cause Stapp must out from Creed because he accused connected between religion with band.

Finally…, Creed has over on June 4, 2004. Stapp has create solo album, and other members has form new group for Alter Bridge with Myles Kennedy. And Brett Hestla also joined with Dark New Day.
